Hatchback Special

The Hatchback Special is nothing more than a Detachable ends Vbar rack with a shorter  bar and longer ends. The Hatchback special was originally a custom rack for the Keiffers. But it makes so much sense we decided to include it in our stock inventory.  Vbars should be centered on your crossbars (front to back). With a Hatchback or short SUV, you can’t center a long bar without the tailgate hitting the Vbar when opened. Moving it forward several feet makes it unstable and puts all stress on the front cross bar.  So, the Hatchback Special is a 5 foot bar with one foot ends to make for a 7 foot rack.
